Now in its 9th year, the hugely popular Big Bournemouth Beer Festival returns to the Bournemouth International Centre. There’s something for everyone at this year’s festival with a huge range of traditional real ales complimented by a range of novelty and seasonal beers, plus the ever popular cider and perry bar and a wine bar. Food and bar snacks will also be available to purchase.
There will be ticketed sessions on Friday and Saturday along with ‘Sup-up Sunday’, a non-ticketed session with no admission fee. An array of live music will be available at the ticketed sessions.
LADY WINWOOD’S MAGGOT (9-9:45pm / 10-10:45pm)
Fusing traditional American and Irish music with self-written songs and presenting them with an old-school punk attitude. Banjo, Mandolin and Acoustic Guitar are backed with thunderous Drums and Bass.
MOTHER UKERS (3-3:45pm / 4-4:45pm)
Using ukuleles of all shapes and sizes the Mother Ukers take you on a musical journey through time and space. The Mother Ukers unleash the power of their humble little four string ukes and guarantee to tickle your ears, kiss your soul & get them feet a tapping!
QUINN’S QUINNEY (9-9:45pm / 10-10:45pm)
"Imagine putting a mandolin, a double bass and an acoustic guitar inside a washing machine. Throw in a tambourine, a kazoo, a pint of cider and put it on a 90 minute hot-wash cycle. Hang the lot out to dry on a summer's evening in rural Dorset and you'll get a rough idea of how we sound."
